I don't think art is ever really understandable on a logical level, and yet for an artist, art is never mystical. It's flesh and blood. It's life's breath. There is a greek word, mantikos. It means 'of or concerning divination or prophecy.' Artists don't prophesize, but give them a chance to divine and they're all over it.
