I have a long history with graphic design. Logos, ads brochures, annual reports, package design, etc. etc. In 2005, I took a job as an art diva at Trader Joe's, working part-time. Trader Joe's is a boutique grocery store with products from around in the world, pretty good prices, and a to die for candy selection. I help decorate the store, do murals and signs. Being there, and often being forced to give immediate results, has changed my style considerably. It's also made me a better artist.

Someone once said that ad agencies were invented so that the business world wouldn't have to deal with designers. There is probably more truth to the adage than designers like to admit. Most designers are incredibly vain, very opinionated and have thin skins. They take everything personally. They also cannot do without praise. So if you do decide to hire one, praise will take you a long way.
